YEAR 8

The Year 8 Soccer Competition

Begins Tuesday 24^th July at 1.10pm sharp in the gym. There will be 2 X 10 mins halves.
An umpire will be provided.
Junior School Captains will score matches.
Each team will consist of 5 girls and 5 boys. Subs can be used. All players should wear runners and appropriate sports gear.
The winning House will be allocated points towards the Allan White Cup.
Week 1 – There will be 4 houses playing.
Purple V Blue – 1.10pm Tuesday 24^th July
Ebony V Red – 12.50pm Thursday 26^th July
Week 2
Green V Silver – 1.10pm Tuesday 31^st July
Gold V Mango – 12.50pm Thursday 2^nd August
Week 3
Winners from Week 1 – 1.10pm Tuesday 7^th August
Winners from Week 2 – 12.50pm Thursday 9^th August
Week 4
Grand Final – 1.10pm Tuesday 14^th August

Year 8 Soccer Competition Rules

Tripping, kicking or holding the opponent is forbidden. Free kick from where incident occurred.
Using hands is forbidden, unless goalie. Free kick from point where incident occurred.
Kicking the ball out of the boundary on the side is playon. Behind the goals is goalies ball.
If no goals have been scored by end of play, each team takes in turns to shoot for goal. Best out of 5 wins the game. If no goal is scored after this, one player from each team will play until the first goal is scored.
